FAQ
Questions about this category
What is Lambi fabric?
Lambi fabric has a distinctive looped texture reminiscent of lambswool. It is soft, pleasant to the touch and gives furniture a cosy, distinctive look.
What are the disadvantages of bouclé fabric?
Bouclé has a distinctive looped texture that can easily collect dust, hair and pet fur. With heavy use, especially in homes with children or pets, the fabric may be more prone to snagging and pilling.
Is bouclé (teddy fabric) the same as velour?
No. Bouclé (teddy fabric) has a looped, clearly textured surface, whereas velour is a smooth fabric with a short, dense pile. LAMBI is a bouclé fabric, so it gives a soft, fluffy effect rather than the smooth surface of velour.
What does 100% PES mean?
100% PES means the material is made entirely of polyester. This synthetic fibre is known for its durability, abrasion resistance and quick drying.
Can bouclé be washed?
LAMBI upholstery is spot-cleaned rather than washed. Blot the stain with a clean, damp cloth (ideally microfibre), working gently from the outside of the stain inwards, and use a mild soap solution if necessary.
Is LAMBI fabric durable?
Yes, the material achieves an abrasion resistance of 50,000 cycles in the Martindale test. This result means the fabric is suitable for regularly used upholstered furniture such as sofas, corner sofas and armchairs. It keeps its appearance well in everyday use.
What is the weight of LAMBI fabric?
The fabric weighs approximately 450 g per running metre. This makes it fairly substantial, so it drapes well over upholstered furniture. A higher weight also contributes to a sense of solidity and comfort.
What furniture is LAMBI best suited to?
LAMBI fabric works well on sofas, corner sofas, armchairs, pouffes, sofa beds and scatter cushions. Its bouclé texture accentuates modern, cosy furniture shapes. The material is often chosen for Scandinavian, Japandi and soft loft interiors.
